I met Sam Charlesworth through playing gigs with him and his band 'The Beatniks'. Sam is a very skilled musician and wicked surfer. He asked if I could make him a music video for a new song he has coming out, and I said yes. I enjoy this sort of thing, and like Sam's vibe - but knew I couldn't do it alone, so got the help of my trusty friend, Ryan Dombroski. We filmed the whole video in only one day, all on VHS. It was somewhat storyboarded, but we also wanted a more random overall feeling to the video, like some of the inspiration that Sam had for the project (90's Dunedin sound). It's currently still being mastered, but there is a snippet after the roll of stills.
